Motorised Curtains

At iSeekBlinds all of our curtains are manufactured as an S-Fold, also known as a wave fold heading. This style of heading creates a supremely finished appearance and a tighter stack, making better use of your light and view.

We use a 75mm S-Fold heading tape to ensure the curtain is well structured, delivering a gentle S-shaped curve that holds its form all the way from the top to the bottom of the curtain. Your curtains will hang beautifully for an outstanding result.

Fullness: An S-Fold heading has a minimum 200% fullness; this means that the fabric width is 2 x the width of the track giving volume and depth to the curtain.

Heading depth: The S-fold heading is 80mm deep (from the front of the curtain to the back)

Stack width: When an S-Fold curtain is in the open position, the stack is approximately 1/3 of the total track width. Provided your track and curtain width are the same length.

Ceiling Mount Installation:
For ceiling mount installations your curtain track is attached to the ceiling. This is a popular choice when you are wanting to add grandeur and height to your rooms and enable floor to ceiling coverage. Mike's Tip! If you have decorative cornices that you don’t want to hide, you can still achieve a floor to ceiling look, but by using a wall mount installation and simply install the track directly below your cornice from corner to corner of the wall.

Ceiling Mount Brackets:
Our ceiling mount brackets attach to the top of our standard track, and are then simply fixed into your ceiling.

These brackets will automatically be supplied to you when you place your order for a ceiling mount installation. Your bracket colour will be matched to your track colour.

Wall Mount Installation:
For wall mount installations, your curtain track is attached directly to the top of the architraves of your window or the face of the wall. It’s entire up to you where you measure and place the track when installing a wall mount track.

Wall Mount Brackets
Select the bracket most suited to your clearance requirements. Each bracket offers incremental clearance from the wall to the back of where the curtain will hang to enable you to overcome any obstructions such as architraves, door handles or other blinds for a perfect outcome.

Standard brackets:
Ideal for standard installations. The 20mm - 50mm clearance will allow for most architraves

Extension brackets:
Gain extra clearance with 60mm to 100mm to come over the top of obstructions such as door handles

Extra Extension brackets:
85mm - 130mm of clearance, ideal if you are installing your curtain over the top of Roller Blinds, this bracket is also used for double curtains

Got extra space and want to have your curtain stack away from your windows? No problems at all. We allow you to specify the width of your track separately to the width of your curtains.

The width you enter when placing your order will be the total width of your track. Our unique order form allows you to then specify how many curtain panels you require and the individual size of each panel.

Curtains can be finished in a number of different ways depending on the effect you want to create and your personal style. You don’t need to measure these any differently, just tell us the length to the floor and we will then make the necessary deductions or additions based on your desired drop effect.

Off the floor
The curtain ‘hovers’ just above the floor, making it easier to clean underneath. This finish is also practical for curtains positioned over exit doors or behind furniture, and in homes where you have pets. Curtains with a hover effect will have an additional 10mm deducted from the drop.

Touching
The curtain just touches the floor for a completed look. Curtains with a just touching effect should sit approximately 0-5mm above the floor. This is our standard measurement for our curtains

Puddled
To create a sense of luxury and grandeur, add additional length to your curtain so that it ‘breaks’ (or puddles) gently over the floor. Curtains with a breaking gently effect will puddle on the floor by approximately 20mm

*Please note due to manufacturing tolerances and variations in curtain fabric behaviour when hung, drop lengths may vary by 3 to 5mm. This also applies to allow for any variations in floor and ceiling levels.

Get the perfect finish with your choice of hem style tailored to your specifications. The size of the hem refers to the width of the folded and sewn fabric at the bottom of the curtain.

Lead weight
A lead weight hem incorporates small weights sewn into the bottom seam. These hems come standard on most Sheer fabrics for a delicate finish. The weight of the lead helps the curtain to hang more evenly and creates a smooth, straight line along the bottom. The added weight will also reduce excessive movement, helpful for curtains that are hung near open windows or doors.
Please note that lead weighted hems are not available on blockout fabrics.


80mm Hem
For curtains that need a little more weight, the 80mm hem provides this to the bottom of the curtain, helping it to hang straighter with more structure. Additionally, the wider hem provides more fabric for the curtain to 'puddle' on the floor, creating a more luxurious and elegant look.

Ultimately, there is no wrong answer, the choice comes down to personal preference and the specific needs of your space.

Double curtains offer great flexibility when it comes to style and design. In addition, double curtains can improve insulation, enhance privacy and control light.
